Recently, Almal Real Estate Development, in partnership with Palladium Hotel Group, has lifted the curtains to reveal their latest project—The Unexpected Al Marjan Island Hotel and Residences. Hosted in the prestigious Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah, the venue exuded an aura of elegance and grandeur, perfectly reflecting the essence of The Unexpected Al Marjan Island Hotel and Residences. Guests were greeted with meticulously crafted experiences from the moment they entered the venue, welcomed by the lively tunes of DJ Sonya, one of Dubai’s most sought-after DJs. The entrance, adorned in a manner reminiscent of Ibiza, guided attendees on a journey through the reception area, adorned with dimmed crimson lights and hummingbirds, perfectly encapsulating the theme of the project.
The event was attended by various brokerage companies in the UAE, media companies, influencers, as well as partners of Almal Real Estate Development and Palladium Hotel Group.
The Unveiling:
As the lights dimmed, all eyes turned to the main stage, where Kris Fade, the master of ceremonies, signaled the beginning of the event. Arch. Abdulla Al Abdouli, CEO of Al Marjan, and Palladium Hotel Group’s Jesus Sombrino (CEO) and Abel Matutes (President) introduced The Unexpected Hotels and Residences’ brand to the audience. Subsequently, the project’s main architect, DAR’s director Mahdi Abu Aisheh, and Almal Real Estate Development’s head of project development, Mohammed Khader, provided insights into how the concept of Unexpected Al Marjan Island Hotel and Residences came to life.
The highlight of the evening came with the unveiling of the project, accompanied by the reveal of renders projected on the ballroom’s screens, filling the air with anticipation. Guests stepped into a world of unparalleled luxury and lively social scenes—a reminiscent experience of Ibiza, now brought to the shores of Al Marjan Island.

The launch event was followed by an After Party just like how they do it in Ibiza - the ballroom was filled with lively festive music lead by DJ Walter Scalzone combined with his bespoke water drum performance.
